Receiving & Facilities Maintenance
Description: The purpose of this position is to document incoming materials for jobs and keep them organized until needed, and to independently maintain the buildings and grounds of Downing Enterprises, Custom Division. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Primary responsibilities:
Oversee the receiving area and the proper logging, tracking and organization of all incoming materials for custom jobs.
Provide our facilities with preventative and emergency maintenance on a routine basis. Ensure that all facilities are maintained in a safe and effective manner in the most cost effective way possible.
Coordinate with Operations on improvements to equipment, buildings and grounds as well as purchasing necessary materials.
Coordinate with Production Leadership on keeping shop and warehouse clean and organized, keeping stock materials on-hand and acquiring materials for jobs.
Maintain recycling program to divert materials from the waste stream. (ie. Corrugated cardboard, metals, computers, etc.)
Oversee maintenance and repairs with subcontractors.
Secondary responsibilities:
Pick-up and delivery of materials as directed by management.
Perform seasonal upkeep on the buildings and grounds.
Complete special projects as directed.
Experience
Mechanical knowledge related to facilities maintenance.
Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
